It is my pleasure to announce the release of OpendTect v3.2.1.</font><font
style="" face="Helvetica"> This is a major new release with many
interesting new capabilities and new plugins. </font><font style=""
face="Helvetica">Please be informed that in order to run the
commercial plugins,</font><font style="" face="Helvetica"> a new
license key is needed. After installing the software (go to
<a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="http://www.opendtect.org">www.opendtect.org</a> ), please request a new license key from
<a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:support@dgb-group.com">support@dgb-group.com</a> .<br>

<p class="MsoNormal"><font style="" face="Helvetica">Highlights in
OpendTect base (the open source part):</font>
</p>
<ol>
<li>Faults and attributes on faults</li>
<li>Pre-stack visualization</li>
<li>3D Bodies and Polygons</li>
<li>Madagascar processing flow builder</li>
<li>Time-depth conversion (recursive attributes)</li>
<li>Quick iso-chron maps<br>
</li>
<li>Histograms and amplitude spectra<br>
</li>
<li>Improvements for random lines, cross-plots, scaling and colors,
horizon interpolation, data sub-selections, stratal amplitudes and much
more.</li>
</ol>
<p>In addition there is a new commercial plugin supported in this
release: <b>Common Contour Binning</b> (CCB; based on Wintershall
technology), and there are major improvements in these existing
plugins: </p>
<ol>
<li>SSIS: new interpretation module and new event-driven
chrono-stratigraphy algorithm</li>
<li>Neural Networks: Quick UVQ</li>
<li>Dip-Steering: Event steering algorithm. <br>
</li>
</ol>
In the coming months dGB, Geokinetics and Ark cls / Earthworks intend
to release more commercial plugins: Velocity Model Building, PSDM
(Kirchhoff), Tomography, Deterministic inversion and Stochastic
inversion (MPSI: ultra fast Multi-Point Stochastic Inversion). These
plugins will be released in v3.2 as and when ready.<br>

booth #7742 for a demo of the new features and a preview of what is
coming. MPSI will also be demonstrated at the Earthworks booth #8129
while the new SSIS module will also be presented every day at 16:00Hrs
